After months of organising and planning we were delighted to open the doors on Friday evening and celebrate Robert Burns.
Once guests took their seats, the Haggis procession kicked off the evening followed by the address of the Haggis. A dinner of Haggis, neeps and tatties was then served which was followed by a yummy chocolate and whisky cake!
After dinner the fantastic Brimstone Folk led the guests in some group singing to let dinner settle before taking to the dance floor in the ceilidh dancing. It was fantastic to see everyone get to their feet and take part in the ceilidh which involved lots of laughter and a few crashes!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all guests for supporting YoungDementia UK by joining us for the event and taking part in the silent auction and raffle. We raised over £1300 for the charity! Another huge shout out goes to our volunteers who worked tirelessly on the evening to make it a huge success! Also, special thanks go to Brimstone Folk who provided fantastic music, led the ceilidh and also addressed our Haggis.
