National Development Manager - job vacancy

YoungDementia UK is an award-winning charity that supports people with young onset dementia and their families to live well.
We are currently recruiting a National Development Manager.

Hours – 35 hours / week
Job type – full-time
Contract - permanent
Location – home based, some travel within the UK and will be required to attend regular meetings in Oxfordshire
Salary – circa £33,000

YoungDementia UK believes every person living with young onset dementia should be well supported and informed to enable them to have the best possible opportunity to live life fully. Currently support in the UK is fragmented and scarce.

Our first post holder has made an amazing start but unfortunately is not able to continue.  We need to recruit again to capitalise on the momentum – the role will strengthen our national impact by supporting, co-ordinating and promoting our newly launched Young Dementia Network, its steering group and activities; determine ways to improve local young onset support services in the UK; and ensure our participation in national opportunities.

Each aspect needs collaborative working with other individuals, groups and organisations.  Success will result in better awareness, visibility and understanding of young onset dementia and improvements in the lives of people living with young onset dementia.  The work requires determination and focus, with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
