If you know of any young onset dementia services that we have not included, or know of any changes to the services we have listed, please email us.

Please note - due to the coronavirus situation, most service providers are not currently able to offer face to face support.  They may still be offering support via email and telephone and some have moved their groups online in order to comply with social distancing rules.  Some services have temporarily ceased operating.  We apologise if the information provided is out-of-date.

Homeshare - (available in Redbridge only) - is a scheme where a trained Care Support Worker acts as a HomeSharer and provides a safe, homely and welcoming environment in their own home for groups of four to five people with dementia. It works like a small scale day care provision, enabling the carer a complete day off from their caring role.  One to One care – (available across the region) an individual’s needs are matched to an experienced member of Care Staff and support can be provided in or out of the individuals home.  Both services are available to people with dementia of any age, including young onset.

DEEP Groups
The Dementia Engagement & Empowerment Project (DEEP) brings together groups of people with dementia from across the UK.  DEEP supports these groups to try to change services and policies that affect the lives of people with dementia.  Whilst not young onset specific, many of the DEEP groups are well attended by younger people with dementia.
