Big boost for Oxfordshire charity
Speaking about the impact that winning the award, Kate Fallows at YoungDementia UK said:
“Winning the £500 prize is a really big boost for YoungDementia UK. Young onset dementia is a relatively little known condition and we work hard to raise awareness of it with a very limited marketing budget.
“Being able to purchase high quality display materials from Marley Haley will play a vital part in our future plans to raise awareness of young onset dementia, the work of YoungDementia UK and help us to raise much-needed funds.
“We hope this money will enable us to pay for new display materials and graphics that better reflect our work nationally and our support services in Oxfordshire.”
Thank you for voting
“We would like to say an enormous thank you to everyone who voted for YoungDementia UK in the #MHCharityComp.
“We were up against two very deserving charities and were blown away by the level of support we received. We couldn’t be more pleased to have won – thank you so much for voting for us!”
Giving back to charities
Andrew Pocock, Marler Haley’s Managing Director said, “We’re pleased to announce YoungDementia UK as our seventh annual charity winner.
“It’s never been so important to help give back to charities and this is just one small way that Marler Haley supports the vital work that charities do every year.
“We know that small-to-medium sized charities can find it hard to start their display collection, feeling that they cannot justify the expense when funds could be spent directly toward charitable aims. We understand this challenge and are working to remove these barriers to help charities succeed.”
