Working age dementia documentary makers seek volunteers in south west

CPL Productions (makers of Channel 4’s Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds) are looking to speak with people who are of working age and living with dementia in Bristol and the South-West region.

In this inspiring new Channel 4 series, volunteers will take part in a campaigning social experiment aimed at showing employers that a young onset dementia diagnosis does not mean the end of that person’s employment prospects. The volunteers will be supported by experts who will analyse the groups’ cognitive and emotional wellbeing throughout the process, and will be supported by specialists before, during and after the filming.

The aim is to show employers and policy makers that by adapting the workplace and having a flexible approach to work, people living with dementia can remain in the workforce and could experience an improvement in their physical, social and emotional wellbeing – as well as possibly slowing the progress of the condition.
